How Milan Kordestani Became A Business Owner While Still In High School

Milan Kordestani is a young man who was born in Stanford, CA. He was a student at Phillips Brooks Elementary for a period of time before his parents divorced and his family moved to London. After living there for a year his family moved back to the greater San Francisco area. He graduated in 2017 from Sacred Heart Preparatory and is now a college student.

He started riding horses when he was 10 years old. When he was 16 years old he ranked in fourth place at the Worlds Championship Horse Show. This was followed up by a 3rd place showing at the American Royal and then the next year achieving 2nd place in the Five Gaited Show Pleasure division at the Worlds Championship Horse Show. Milan Kordestani says he continues to enjoy being an equestrian and working with horses.

He is also already an entrepreneur. He started a farm called Milan Farms. Milan Kordestani started this business during his high school sophomore year. Milan Farm produces eggs, poultry, and saffron which are sold through this farm’s website. He started out with one farm in the Bay Area of California and there are now a number of farms he manages including one in the state of Colorado. He has the distinction of being the first one to grow saffron on microfiber sponges. While attending college he also works at the chief executive officer of his company.

Milan Farms is run as a very transparent business. Consumers have the right to know exactly what they are buying when it comes to food and how it was grown and/or raised. Their chickens are only fed organic feed and the saffron he grows is also grown organically. Their eggs are now available all along the West Coast plus Colorado while the saffron is shipped throughout the nation and overseas.

The way that Milan Kordestani grows the saffron is by using hydroponic farming. This involves growing it in long white pipes out of which the saffron grows. This allows him to get the right amount of saline water to each plant so that it achieves the highest quality.
